- Obtain a timber sales agreement application form: You can obtain a timber sales agreement application form from the GFC’s headquarters in Georgetown or from any of its regional offices.
- Complete the application form: Fill out the application form completely and accurately. Be sure to include all required information, such as the location of the land, the type of timber you plan to harvest, the volume of timber you expect to harvest, and the proposed harvesting and processing methods.
- Submit the application form: Once you have completed the application form, submit it to the GFC along with any required supporting documents, such as maps, surveys, and environmental impact assessments.
- Wait for approval: The GFC will review your application and conduct an assessment of the proposed harvesting site to determine if it is suitable for timber harvesting. If your application is approved, the GFC will issue you a timber sales agreement.
- Fulfill the terms of the agreement: Once you have a timber sales agreement, you must fulfill the terms of the agreement, which will include the volume of timber you are allowed to harvest, the timeline for harvesting, and the requirements for processing and exporting the timber.
